Подключение USB-модема в Linux без сетевой платы!!!

Если нет сетевой карты!
Для этого нужно установить пакет DHCP, DHCP-client.
Подключить модули USB в ядро:
modprobe ehci-hcd
modprobe usb-uhci
modprobe CDCEther
для автозапуска (если авто не работает) написать в modules.conf:
alias eth0 CDCEther

Запустить демон DHCP: dhcpcd - он может находится в /sbin

Придется после каждой загрузки запускать dhcpcd.

С Арисом не пробовал, но здесь нет определения модема.
По идее может с любым USB модемом (кабельным).
Это описано для ядра 2.4 и ниже.
Для ядра 2.6 это может иметь еще такой вид (не пробовал но работать по идее должно):

бред... не думаю что комуто помогло...

Странно но помогло, правда еле нашел этот модулю в 2.6.9 ядре )))
запускать DHPC: dhcpcd <имя адаптера>, а то у меня ситевуха eth0 с статическим ip, а оно ее по умудрилось перенастраивать, так как eth0 береться по умолчанию.
